Chandhok drives historic F1 cars for Williams' 40th anniversary
Karun Chandhok drove three Williams F1 cars at Silverstone on Friday to celebrate the 40th anniversary of one of the most successful teams in grand prix racing. Williams organised a special event at the legendary British track in the break between the Monaco and the Canadian Grands Prix, which was attended by 40,000 fans and several world champions including Nigel Mansell, Damon Hill, Nico and Keke Rosberg. Williams founders Sir Patrick Head and Frank Williams were also present. Chandhok, who is contracted by Williams as its heritage driver, entertained the fans by driving the 2017 FW40 around Silverstone. It was the Indian driver’s first acquaintance with the new breed of Formula 1 cars....
