Kubica to drive RS17 in post-Hungarian test

Robert Kubica has been confirmed for the upcoming post-Hungarian GP test, handed the driving duties by Renault for Day Two. Last month the Polish driver took part in a private test with his former team, putting in the laps in a 2012-spec E20 at Valencia's Ricardo Tormo circuit. He was back behind the wheel of the E20 weeks later, the early July test taking place at Paul Ricard. Having shown his pace, Kubica will now step onto the Formula 1 stage for his first competitive public outing in a F1 car since suffering life-changing injuries in a rally crash in 2011.
