Vasseur confirms Matsushita test to go ahead

– Sauber Team Principal Frédéric Vasseur has confirmed that Nobuharu Matsushita's maiden Formula 1 test with the team will still take place next week.Sauber announced earlier this week that Honda-backed Matsushita, who competes in F2, will pilot the Sauber C36-Ferrari during the in-season test at the Hungaroring.Matsushita's outing prompted speculation that he could be in the running for a 2018 seat at Sauber, with the Swiss outfit having agreed to run Honda power units next year.However, after weeks of rumours, Sauber and Honda confirmed on Thursday that its planned partnership next year had been abandoned, amid differences over the direction of both parties.Vasseur, though, has...
