Final Monza practice delayed "indefinitely" due to rain

The final free practice session for the Italian Grand Prix has been delayed indefinitely, after bad weather hit the Monza track on Saturday morning. Rain had been forecast for the early part of the Italian GP weekend, but it did not arrive as expected during the day on Friday. However, overnight and early morning showers increased in intensity and, as teams arrived at the track on Saturday morning, the rain had become quite torrential. GP3's qualifying session on Saturday morning was cancelled and, with the rain showing no signs of abating, F1 race director Charlie Whiting decided to delay the start of the session.
