Wolff: Bottas' results exceeding expectations

Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff has praised this season's performance from Valtteri Bottas, who has signed a contract extension with the reigning champions. As was widely expected, Bottas put pen to paper and signed a one-year extension to his Mercedes contract, which will see the Finn continue alongside Lewis Hamilton. With Bottas having a competitive first half of 2017, discussions were believed to have started over the course of the summer break, with the contract extension being announced ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix.
