Bottas aware of fading F1 title hopes heading to Singapore
Valtteri Bottas is aware of his fading Formula 1 championship hopes in 2017, admitting that he needs to start beating both Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel if he is to keep his hopes of beating them to the title alive. Bottas joined Mercedes for the 2017 season back in January following world champion Nico Rosberg's sudden retirement, moving up from Williams. The Finn has claimed two race wins and nine further podium finishes so far this season, putting himself in the thick of the title fight earlier in the summer when he sat just 23 points off the lead after the British Grand Prix. Mercedes has not openly backed either of its drivers for the title despite Hamilton now running 41 points...
