Ricciardo edges Vettel to lead Singapore FP1

Daniel Ricciardo sent out an early statement of intent for Red Bull by leading the opening Formula 1 practice session for this weekend's Singapore Grand Prix, posting a new track record in the process. Red Bull has been tipped to enter the fight with Mercedes and Ferrari at the front of the pack this weekend, with the layout of the Marina Bay Street Circuit playing to the strengths of the Red Bull RB13 car. Having finished second the last two years in Singapore, Ricciardo set his sights on victory in Singapore, and got off on the right foot by leading the opening session for Red Bull on Friday evening.
