Gary Anderson: How Mercedes exposed Ferrari’s inadequacy again
Mercedes is having a far-from-smooth 2017, but to have come through those challenges and be on the brink of a fourth consecutive F1 title double exposes just how far short Ferrari still is of showing that level of quality. The unstoppable freight train that is Mercedes running at speed, and with Lewis Hamilton driving like never before, means the 2017 drivers' and constructors' championship trophies will have a prominent place reserved for them in the trophy cabinet in Brackley.
