Red Bull, Ferrari go conservative on Mexico tyre picks

Pirelli has confirmed the tyre selections made by each Formula 1 driver for the Mexican Grand Prix in 12 days' time, with Red Bull and Ferrari's line-ups going for harder picks than the rival Mercedes team. Pirelli will take its softest three compounds - soft, super-soft and ultra-soft - to the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez next weekend, continuing its approach of going for quicker tyres for races than last year. Red Bull has opted for the most conservative selection in the field, taking just six sets of the ultra-soft tyre to Mexico.
