Ferrari adds F3 star Ilott to junior team
Ex-Red Bull junior and 2017 European Formula 3 title challenger Callum Ilott has joined the Ferrari Driver Academy. Ilott, 18, has spent the last three years in the European F3 championship, collecting eight wins and and 17 podiums. He was part of Red Bull's junior scheme in 2015, which was also his first year in single-seater racing, but was dropped after finishing 12th in F3. Ilott then became an F3 frontrunner in 2016 before joining top team Prema for a title assault this year. However, he only ended up fourth, finishing behind champion Lando Norris and DTM juniors Joel Eriksson and Maximilian Gunther.
