Pirelli confirms new pink-walled softest tyre compound for 2018

Pirelli will introduce a sixth compound to its Formula 1 range for the 2018 season that is a step below the current ultra-soft tyre, with fans set to select its name via an online vote. A new, pink-walled tyre will be introduced that is a step softer than the current ultra-soft tyre, offering more grip while being less durable, making it ideal for street circuits and low-degradation tracks.
