Sauber confirm Leclerc for 2018

Formula Two champion Charles Leclerc will move up to F1 next season after being handed a seat by Sauber. Sauber have confirmed that LeClerc and Marcus Ericsson will make up their team for next season, despite the latter failing to register a point during the 2017 campaign. It leaves 2017 driver Pascal Wehrlein facing an uncertain future in F1, yet Ferrari-backed LeClerc is delighted to have been given the opportunity at just 20. “First and foremost, I would like to thank Ferrari for their support. I would also like to thank Sauber for their trust and confidence in me as a driver, and look forward to joining the Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team for the upcoming season,” said LeClerc....
