Silverstone resurfacing under way to reduce bumps
The Silverstone circuit, host of the British Grand Prix on both two and four wheels, is currently undertaking resurfacing works across the entire 3.661-mile circuit to reduce the amount of bumps. MotoGP riders have frequently complained about the surface, particularly the notoriously bumpy final sector between the Stowe and Club corners. Silverstone had therefore initially planned to resurface this sector alone, but following further consideration and the age of the asphalt in other areas of the track, it was decided that the entire circuit will be resurfaced, with completion expected by the end of February.
