Barcelona Test Day 2: Vettel enjoys pace and gets mileage

Ferrari had another solid day in Barcelona on day two of the preseason test at Circuit de Catalunya, with Sebastian Vettel fastest of all in the new SF71-H on a cold day which even featured snow! Vettel set the fastest time of 1:19.673 on Pirelli soft tyres as he powered to 98 laps at the end of the program which was more than any other driver on the day. Mercedes opted to keep Valtteri Bottas in the car all day (Lewis Hamilton was scheduled to take over in the afternoon but did not) and by the end of it he was second quickest by 0.3 of a second albeit on medium tyres.
