Barcelona FP1: Bottas far ahead, Williams in trouble

Valtteri Bottas ended the first free practice session of the Spanish Grand Prix weekend top of the timesheets, a whopping eight-tenths of a second quicker than his Mercedes teammate Lewis Hamilton in second. At the other end of the timing screens Williams were woefully off the pace with Robert Kubica and Lance Stroll slowest of all, the Pole making an FP1 appearance in place of Sergey Sirotkin ended 1.2 seconds faster than his teenage teammates who had an out of sorts session.
