McLaren tight-lipped on full time IndyCar plans

McLaren is contemplating a tie-up with a leading IndyCar outfit to put a car on the IndyCar grid, possibly as early as next year. Reports from the US confirmed that several McLaren representatives attended last weekend's IndyCar Grand Prix held on the IMS' road course, apparently initiating potential partnership talks with Andretti Autosport and Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing. McLaren teamed up with Andretti Autosport for last year's Indy 500, fielding Fernando Alonso in the blue ribbon event.
