McLaren's new shareholder investment doesn't mean race seat for son

McLaren has reaffirmed that there haven't been any talks in place for the son of their new shareholder, Nicholas Latifi. Latifi is currently competing in the Formula 2 series and is a Force India reserve driver. McLaren CEO Zak Brown, speaking on Thursday said that there had been no outside influence over the team to offer Latifi a race seat for 2019. “That’s never been a discussion. He’s doing quite well in Formula 2. At McLaren we’re always looking for the best drivers we can get. “He’s doing a good job but it’s never been part of the conversation.
