FIA clear Ferrari and ensure SF71H is legal

Ferrari has been given the green light with their 2018 car after rivals had suggested they had been running their ERS system illegally. Some speculated that the Italian team had been exceeding the 120KW limit with their MGU-K deployment. Race director Charlie Whiting confirmed over the Monaco Grand Prix weekend that Ferrari had met the goals set by the FIA and that he was fully satisfied the Scuderia were operating within the rules after running new software requested by the governing body. “We had some concerns in Baku that were difficult to explain and we worked through it with them,” Whiting told Reuters. “(The rulebook) says that it is the duty of the competitor to...
