Daniel Abt to remain at Audi in 2018/19

Daniel Abt will retain his seat at Audi alongside reigning Formula E champion Lucas di Grassi for the 2018/19 season. Abt took his second victory of the season after a dominant display at his home round in Berlin, leading the team’s first 1-2 finish. Despite this Abt did not have his seat secured, with rumours of fellow factory Audi drivers Rene Rast, Nico Mueller and former FE racer Robin Frijns being a potential replacement. But Head of Audi Motorsport Dieter Gass announced on Saturday that Abt would remain in the team. “Daniel has been showing strong performances in succession this season and in my view has enormously developed further both on and off the race track,” he said....
