Sainz 'hurt' after late race power issues

French Grand Prix – Carlos Sainz suffered an agonising power-related problem in the closing stages of the race which denied Renault an even stronger points finish on home soil. Renault, competing at their home race for the first time in ten years, managed to secure a double points finish at the Circuit Paul Ricard, with Sainz and Nico Hulkenberg taking eighth and ninth place respectively. However, they were prevented from securing an even bigger points haul when Sainz encountered a lack of power in the final few laps of the race. Starting seventh, Sainz ran in third place after the chaotic opening lap of the race before gradually being overtaken by the usual front-running drivers....
