McLaren admits interest in Red Bull's Carlos Sainz

Zak Brown has confirmed McLaren are looking at Red Bull-owned Carlos Sainz. The Spaniard is currently driving at Renault on a ‘loan’ type deal.  The 23-year-old was expected to replace Daniel Ricciardo should he have moved to a different team. But with that now looking unlikely, Sainz could be the man to miss out.  Speaking about Sainz, Zak Brown seemed very interesting and had already put some thought into the questions asked.  “Carlos Sainz is a great driver, and we could be interested in him,” Zak Brown admitted to grandprix.  If Sainz was to join alongside Fernando Alonso, he would form part of a double Spanish partnership.
