Formula 1 geared up for in-season Hungary test
Formula 1 teams are eager for their summer break – but that has to wait for another few days with the sport having stayed on at the Hungaroring for in-season testing. Formula 1 holds two two-day in-season test sessions for teams and running will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday, a repeat of the post-race Spanish Grand Prix gathering. As per Formula 1 regulations, two of the four test days have to be allocated to drivers with two or fewer Grand Prix starts under their belt. As it did in 2017, Mercedes has allocated both days of running to Formula 2 title leader George Russell, as the Briton emerges as a contender for a 2019 Williams seat.
