Sainz would 'suffer' against 'beast' Alonso
Pedro de la Rosa has warned Carlos Sainz Jr against joining the "beast" Fernando Alonso at McLaren in 2019. Sainz is reportedly McLaren's top target for 2019 as Stoffel Vandoorne looks likely to leave after being soundly thrashed by the two-time world champion this season. With Daniel Ricciardo set to commit to Red Bull and Renault lining up Esteban Ocon for 2019, Sainz is on the hunt for a seat next season. Sainz has scored consistently with Renault this season, but trails team-mate Nico Hulkenberg by 22 points in the drivers' championship.
