2018 Belgian Grand Prix tyre selection

Formula One is finally back this weekend after the summer break and Pirelli have offered the medium, soft and supersoft tyre compounds to the teams for the Belgian Grand Prix. Whilst the circuit isn't the most power sensitive on the calendar, the long straights at the start and end of the lap are broken up by long sweeping curves which punish the tyres lap after lap. Mercedes has opted to take the most conservative strategy of the big teams, three sets of medium tyres for both Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas with four soft sets and six supersoft sets for them both also.
