Mercedes, F1 delight in 2019 German GP agreement

Mercedes boss Toto Wolff says the manufacturer did “everything in our power” to keep the German Grand Prix on the calendar, following the release of the provisional 2019 schedule. The future of the German Grand Prix appeared uncertain following the conclusion of the 10-year biennial deal between Hockenheim and Nurburgring, which the latter reneged in 2015 and 2017. Hockenheim hosted this year’s German Grand Prix in July and circuit chiefs remained optimistic that it would not be Formula 1’s final visit to the venue. On Friday it was confirmed that the German Grand Prix will again be held at Hockenheim next season, with the event included on the draft 2019 calendar....
