BBC to air Formula E in 2018/19
From the 2018/19 season, the BBC will screen every Formula E race via their website and red button platforms, as well as at least one race on BBC1 or BBC2, as motorsport returns to the channel for the first time since 2015 when Formula 1 was shown. The deal for the BBC is in conjunction with each Formula E race being aired live on YouTube in 2018/19 also. Ali Russell, FE's media and business development director, believes it was important that the motorsport remained on a free-to-air service.
