Confirmed: Carlos Sainz will drive McLaren in Abu Dhabi test

Carlos Sainz will get his first drive inside the McLaren cockpit next week during the Abu Dhabi tyre test. The Spaniard signed for McLaren in the summer, leaving Daniel Ricciardo a seat at Renault. Lando Norris will join him in the McLaren garage next season, who comes in to replace Stoffel Vandoorne. Norris will complete day one of the test on Tuesday, while Sainz gets an extra day to change his overalls from Renault to McLaren. The test is designed to help teams and drivers gather information and data regarding the tyres for next season. Sainz joins Pierre Gasly (Red Bull), Charles Leclerc (Ferrari), Lance Stroll (Force India) and Daniil Kvyat (Toro Rosso) who are all due to be running...
