Covers taken off new Formula 3 car in Abu Dhabi

The new Formula 3 series car has been revealed at a press event at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi. Formula 3, the series which replaces the existing GP3 series in 2019, has revealed its car for the next three years. Formula 3 has been created as a more logical step in the racing ladder, slotting in behind Formula 2, which itself is the established precursor to F1. With this in mind, the car was designed to be a blending together of the philosophies of the existing GP3 car, as well as the existing F3 design used in the FIA European Championship. The F3 2019 will be powered by a naturally aspirated 3.4 litre 6 cylinder engine from Mechachrome, delivering 380 bhp. According to release...
