Charles Leclerc quickest as post-season F1 test concludes

Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc set the quickest time at the Yas Marina Circuit as the 2018 Formula 1 season came to a conclusion. Leclerc took over the reins of Ferrari’s SF71H for the second and final day of post-season testing in Abu Dhabi, linking up with the team for the first time since confirmation of his 2019 drive. Leclerc, who raced for Sauber in his rookie campaign this year, clocked a best time of 1:36.450, as teams and drivers continued to evaluate Pirelli’s revised 2019 rubber. Leclerc’s benchmark proved to be 1.466s quicker than nearest rival Pierre Gasly, who stepped into Red Bull’s RB14 for the first time, ahead of his switch from Toro Rosso. Lance...
