Baku bags new three-year extension in F1
The Azerbaijan Grand Prix will stay on the Formula 1 calendar through to 2023 after organisers concluded an extension to their current deal with the sport's promoters. “We are very pleased to have renewed this agreement which will see the Azerbaijan Grand Prix feature on the FIA Formula 1 world championship calendar for many years to come,” Formula 1 boss Chase Carey said in a statement following a press event in Baku on Tuesday. "In just a short space of time, this race has become one of the most popular of the season, always producing closely fought and spectacular racing," he continued.
