Mick Schumacher to make Ferrari F1 test debut in Bahrain

Mick Schumacher is set to make his Formula 1 test debut for Ferrari during next week’s post-race running in Bahrain. Formula 1 is to stay on at Sakhir next Tuesday and Wednesday for the first of two in-season test sessions, with teams required to run young drivers for 50 per cent of the days. Schumacher, the reigning European Formula 3 champion, joined Ferrari’s Driver Academy earlier this year ahead of his graduation to Formula 2, which begins in Bahrain this weekend. Schumacher is set to get behind the wheel of Ferrari’s SF90 on Tuesday at the venue where his father, Michael, claimed the inaugural Bahrain Grand Prix victory 15 years ago.
