Alonso: 2019 McLaren ‘a step forward in every aspect’

Fernando Alonso believes the 2019 McLaren Formula 1 car is “a step forward in every aspect” compared to last year’s model after first test outing of the year with the team in Bahrain on Tuesday. Alonso retired from F1 at the end of last year to pursue challenges outside of the sport, but remained part of the McLaren family, leading to a test outing in the MCL34 car to try and aid its development.
