McLaren and Alonso to prep for Indy 500 in Texas
McLaren and Fernando Alonso will begin their preparations for the Indy 500 with a test next Tuesday at the 1.5-mile Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth. It will be the first outing for the McLaren-Carlin joint effort, managed by former Force India team boss Bob Fernley, and Alonso's first run onboard the Chevrolet-powered Dallara DW12 in its 2018 universal aero kit speedway configuration.
