Horner: One practice session enough for F1 weekends
Red Bull team boss Christian Horner believes Formula 1 could switch to having just one practice session on each race weekend if plans to expand the sport's calendar are pushed through. Last weekend's Azerbaijan Grand Prix saw teams lose almost the entirety of running in opening practice after a manhole cover came lose on the circuit, forcing the session to be abandoned. Recurring red flags through FP2 meant there was only one clean and complete session in which to prepare for qualifying in Baku, creating more potential for a shake-up in the pecking order.
