Verstappen: Dad always pushed me to find extra performance
Max Verstappen has revealed how his father Jos continues to play an important role in his career and credits him for the work-ethic that the Red Bull driver has become known for. It is well told how Verstappen senior, himself a former Formula 1 driver, dedicated his time and money to preparing and running Max in karting categories in which he shone and ultimately paved his way to F1. In an interview on his website, Verstappen was asked where the passion for victory comes from, to which he replied, “To be honest, I think everybody wants to win.
