F1 calendar could expand to 22 races in 2020

The Formula 1 calendar could expand to a 22-race schedule as early as 2020, despite previous claims that next year's calendar will again feature 21 events. Formula 1 has already confirmed that the Netherlands will return after a 35-year absence while the championship will visit Vietnam for the first time. Five events on the 2019 calendar had expiring contracts but Britain completed a new deal, Italy has reached an agreement in principle while Mexico is also expected to stay.
