The battle for a 1000 horse power engine
Renault has claimed that they are close to breaking the 1000hp barrier with their engine. An engineer from the team even said that with the upgrades developed they have managed to create the most powerful engine on the grid. However, Horse Power is not everything and Renault will be hoping to develop their reliability to match the power of their engine. Renault's claims have been met with a response from Mercedes which says that their World Championship leading engine has not broken the 1000hp barrier.
