Hamilton runs down Verstappen to win Hungarian GP

Lewis Hamilton Lewis Hamilton has run down and passed long-time leader Max Verstappen with four laps remaining to win the Hungarian Grand Prix. Verstappen led the vast majority of the 70-lap race and had even survived one serious attack from Hamilton just past the halfway point, but a move to a two-stop strategy proved a masterstroke from Mercedes. With Hamilton on a fresh set of medium compound tyres, he hunted Verstappen down in the final 22 laps and drove around the outside of the Red Bull at Turn 1 at the Hungaroring. Joining Hamilton and Verstappen on the podium was Sebastian Vettel, who passed Ferrari team-mate Charles Leclerc late in the race after they too diverted on strategy....
