Ricciardo excluded from qualifying for MGU-K energy breach
Singapore Grand Prix – Daniel Ricciardo has been excluded from qualifying in Singapore, following an investigation into an energy usage breach during Q1. Daniel Ricciardo has been excluded from qualifying at Marina Bay in Singapore. The Renault driver initially qualified in P8, heading a Renault 8-9 with teammate Nico Hulkenberg slotting in a tenth behind Ricciardo. However, an energy anomaly was detected on the Renault and, hours after qualifying, a representative from Renault was summoned before race stewards to explain.
