Coulthard elected BRDC president

David Coulthard, has been elected as President of the British Racing Drivers' Club by members during the club's Annual General Meeting which took place at Silverstone Circuit. He takes over from Paddy Hopkirk, who committed to take on the role for a two-year period in 2017. Coulthard has been a member of the BRDC since 1989 when he won the British Formula Ford Championship and became the first recipient of the BRDC McLaren Autosport Award. Since then he has gone on to compete at the highest levels of motorsport winning the Macau F3 Grand Prix in 1991, joining Williams as a test driver in 1993 before becoming a full-time driver for the team in 1994, and going on to finish third in the World...
