‘Super Sunday' at Suzuka begins as circuit begins rebuild

Japanese Grand Prix – Suzuka's ‘Super Sunday' of Formula 1 gets underway in just two hours time, with the circuit being hastily reassembled. The Suzuka Circuit is set to hold a ‘Super Sunday' of motorsport today, after all Saturday action was cancelled in light of the Typhoon Hagibis passing over the circuit. The entire circuit was deconstructed of all infrastructure, with the teams and officials battening down the hatches to wait out the storm. With the typhoon now passed over Suzuka, the rebuild began in earnest at 5am local time as the curfew over the circuit was lifted.
