Drivers under electronic scrutiny at Turn 11 in Mexico

Track limits will be electronically monitored at Mexico City's Turn 11 this weekend, with the FIA adopting the same detection system that was used earlier this year at Spa's Raidillon corner. Turn 11 at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez is a fast left hand corner that leads to the track's back straight and precedes a DRS activation point. Drivers running wide at the exit of Turn 11 to gain a speed advantage will automatically lose their lap time. But exceeding track limits on the exit of the corner on three occasions will result in a driver shown the black and white warning flag (for unsportsmanlike behavior).
