Albon laments ‘careless mistake’ after big Mexico FP2 crash
Red Bull driver Alexander Albon put his hefty crash in second practice for the Mexican Grand Prix down to a “careless mistake” that forced him to sit out the majority of the session on Friday afternoon. Albon crashed out at Turn 7 after touching the kerb on the right-hand side of the circuit upon turning in to the corner, sending his car into a spin before slamming into the wall. While Albon was able to walk away from the shunt unharmed, his car was left with significant damage to the rear and front-right sections that will require repairing overnight. “I'll have a look at it because it did go really quick, I wasn't expecting it to go like that,” Albon said of the crash after the...
