United States Grand Prix: Starting grid with penalties applied

Valtteri Bottas' early lap in Q3 was enough to clinch pole position for the United States Grand Prix as all of his challengers failed to better their times as the session ended. Sebastian Vettel, Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc were all within touching distance going into the closing seconds but ultimately could only marginally improve on their time or not improve at all. Article continues under video Lewis Hamilton's low-key weekend, despite the world championship crown being at stake, continued as he could only manage fifth position and decided to pull out of his flying lap in the final stages.
