Russell: The car was very difficult to drive
Impressive rookie George Russell has played down hopes that Williams will be a midfield contender in 2020 and revealed that the FW2 was not only very slow but also a beast to drive. The British team has slumped to the back of the field with a big gap to the next-best rivals, but 2018 Formula 2 champion Russell said he quickly adjusted to the situation. 'I never thought about where I would be in a McLaren or a Mercedes,' he told Auto Motor und Sport. 'That would only be frustrating. I made peace with the car I drove quite early on.
