Bottas: I've been aware of DAS for a long time

Mercedes' Valtteri Bottas has revealed that the team's dual axis steering (DAS) system has been a year in the making, and expects it to withstand protests from rival teams. Speaking to journalists on Friday in Barcelona, the Finn revealed the effort that had gone into implementing the device, indicating he expects it to be difficult for other teams to catch-up. “I have been aware of it for a long time,' he said. 'First time I heard something about it was nearly one year ago. It’s not a quick project. 'It’s not an easy thing to start making it, designing it and actually make it work.
