The growing influence of social media on F1 drivers

Ever since Liberty Media bought Formula One, the rules on social media have been relaxed and drivers are now able to express themselves more. With the new generation more social media savvy, we look at what influence social media has had on drivers and fans alike. One name that comes to mind is McLaren's meme king Lando Norris, whose child-like demeanor has added some well-needed personality to a grid with plenty of seasoned professionals. Norris proved he was a hit on track as much as he was online, with his regular live-streams with Red Bull's Max Verstappen on rFactor2 a welcome bit of content when the racing is not on.
