Russell reveals physical strain of first F1 test
Williams' George Russell says his eyes were 'fully bloodshot' after completing his first Formula 1 test, such were the strains on his body. Russell graduated to Formula 1 last season, competing for the struggling Williams team. The extremely slow FW42 left Russell fighting then team-mate Robert Kubica at the back, with the Briton finishing his first season as the only driver without a point. Russell is regarded as one of the brightest prospects in the series though – he won the GP3 and F2 titles back-to-back before joining the Formula 1 ranks, just like Charles Leclerc did, and is a Mercedes junior driver.
