Mercedes staying in F1 as Daimler quash ‘unfounded' reports

Daimler have confirmed that Mercedes are staying in F1 long-term, calling reports that they may be set to quit 'unfounded and irresponsible'. Reports have rumbled on for a while now that Daimler are looking to sell their Mercedes F1 team, while the uncertain futures of boss Toto Wolff and six-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton have done little to help the chatter go away. And recent reports have now surfaced that suggest Toto Wolff is ready to step down from his role as the Mercedes team boss.
