Perez forced to wait for updates after Stroll's crash

Racing Point has confirmed that Sergio Perez will have to wait another round to sample the team’s new updates after Lance Stroll’s heavy crash at Mugello. Racing Point brought a sizeable upgrade package to Mugello, which it estimated to be worth two-three tenths of a second per lap, but was only able to ready it for Stroll. It anticipated that it would be able to produce enough components in time for both cars to be fitted with the updated parts at this weekend’s Russian Grand Prix. However Stroll suffered a sizeable accident during the closing stages of the race at Mugello as he contended for the podium positions.
